Dental Care

Does your pet have the dreaded "dog breath"?  Did you know that "dog breath" isn't just a nuisance or a part of owning a dog, but a sign of an unhealthy mouth?  The odor is caused by bacteria in the mouth and that bacteria can lead to plaque and tartar build-up on your pet's teeth.  It can then lead to other signs of dental disease including reddened gums and the aforementioned bad breath.  The symptoms of dental disease can continue to worsen into drooling, discomfort while chewing and loose or missing teeth.  Treats and chews can help, but aren't enough to keep dental disease in check.

Dental hygiene is a very important factor in your pet's overall health as dental disease can be asssociated with much more serious conditions such as heart disease or kidney disease.  Let Dr. Hui and Dr. Weinrick take a look at your pet's teeth and assess your pet's dental health.  They can then offer tips for at-home dental care or full dental cleanings based on their exam.

Dental health should not be taken for granted and we want your pet to live a long and healthy life.  We understand that a happy mouth is a large part of your pet's overall health.  Call today to discuss your pet's dental health and how we can help, especially with that "dog breath".
