Michigan State University
Dr. Weinrick graduated from MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2003. After graduation, Dr. Weinrick worked alongside Dr. Gretchen Hui in a small & exotic animal practice in Ann Arbor for 6 years, after which time she worked at the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) for another several years. Dr. Weinrick is thrilled to now be operating Uptown Veterinary Clinic for small and exotic animals here in Ann Arbor alongside Dr. Hui.
Dr. Weinrick is committed to providing personalized high quality Veterinary care. She is compassionate and sensitive to the needs of both people and their pets, and happy to be a part of the Ann Arbor Veterinary community where she has lived and worked for many years. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Weinrick enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, as well as with the rest of her family. Dr. Weinrick also enjoys a variety of hobbies, including running, biking, yoga, and gardening. |

Kayla
Kayla graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Biology degree in 2021 and is in the process of applying to Veterinary School.
Kayla lives in Ohio with her fiancé, and her three cats, Rog, Orpheus and Ajax. These three mischievous boys wreak lots of havoc in Kayla's life but also bring her lots of joy.
Kayla is a big nerd and loves dressing up in cosplay, playing dungeons and dragons with her friends and doing all sorts of arts and crafts. Kayla also forces her coworkers to listen to Taylor Swift all day.
Kayla graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Biology degree in 2021 and is in the process of applying to Veterinary School.

Jess has been working in the animal care field for almost her entire adult life, from PetSmart, to the humane society and finally to Uptown Vet Clinic.
Jess has an abundance of pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, chinchillas and a whole host of reptiles.
Anyone who knows Jess knows she loves Gilmore Girls, Dateline and anything involving True Crime.
In her free time Jess enjoys taking care of house plants, going to Disney World and attending reptile shows.

Dawn has been in the veterinary medicine field for over 12 years. She has a passion for birds and has a flock of ducks, a rooster named Emmett, a Guinea Fowl, two geese named Gigi and Moose, and of course a cat and a dog as well, Ouijii, and Chevy.
Dawn enjoys going on walks, fishing, painting, drawing and going to local farm swap meets.
Anyone who knows Dawn knows she loves her son but more importantly she loves Ducks!

Jen grew up an animal lover and has felt fortunate to have fur babies in her life. She graduated from Wayne County Community College's veterinary tech program via Wayne State University in 2009.
When Jen isn't at Uptown Vet Clinic, she enjoys spending time with her friends and watching movies. Jennifer is an avid swimmer and when it's time to relax, she loves doing a puzzle, or reading with her cat Annabell and her French bulldog, Serenity.

Destiny has been working in the veterinary medicine field for over 5 years as a receptionist and assistant. While at work Destiny loves to play pranks on her coworkers and bring laughter to the work day.
She lives with her husband and three dogs, Harmony, Bolt, and Ripley. She enjoys horseback riding, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
One thing about Destiny is she loves Christmas. She keeps her Christmas trees up all year and decorated for Christmas in October this year.

Anna has worked in the Animal Care field for over 10 years. From pet stores, to daycares, to training to shelters, she's done it all! She has been in vet medicine for over 3 years, and is currently a student at Penn Foster earning her Vet Tech License.
Anna lives with her husband, her dog Scrappy, her cat Pickles and her jumping spider Squash. Her dog Fifi lives forever in their hearts and the hearts of all of our staff here. She was such a special girl who is missed daily.
Anna enjoys being outside and loves camping, hiking with her dog, geocaching, and collecting oddities.

Oriana has a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Michigan University in Speech and Language Pathology. She has worked in the Veterinary Medicine field for over 7 years and has previously worked with kids as well in a daycare setting.
Oriana enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 teenagers watching The Lions and The Pistons play, either on TV or in person. And you can't forget Fletch, Oriana's dog who rounds out the family. She also enjoys going to concerts, reading and getting together with family and friends.

Maddie has an associates degree in Animal Welfare Business Administration and over 4 years of experience as a vet receptionist/assistant and has even done an internship as an aviary zookeeper!
Maddie has a Min-Pin named Lacey Lou that she brings everywhere with her, an adorable pittie named Chunk., Mercedes the cat and Edgar the bearded dragon.
In her free time Maddie enjoys doing wordsearches, cross stitching, macrame, drawing, and exploring the outdoors. She's also always looking for new things to do, new restaurants to try and has made it her goal to try a new lunch spot almost every day.

Sid was formerly our clinic cat but now is retired from his duties and currently resides with Dr. Hui where he enjoys napping, begging for food, and teaching Dr. Hui's younger cats bad habits like jumping on the counters and stealing food. Sid recently celebrated his 20th birthday.
