Just like dogs and cats, regular wellness exams are the best way to help keep your bird healthy and happy. They can develop many of the same illnesses that afflict other pets as well as some diseases that are unique to birds. Birds are very adapt at hiding signs of these illnesses which can make it difficult to diagnosis conditions in birds even without a history of regular wellness exams. Regular wellness visits also offer you a chance to ask any questions you have and to catch health concerns earlier.
